3. If Money Was Not A Problem, I Would...
Have you ever thought about what you want if you did not have to worry about money? What you would do? Where you would go? Who would you see? What would you uphold as your values?
With no job for five months now, it has been tough. The so-called free-time that I have has forced me to reflect on my life and what I bring to fruition from it. It has blatantly introduced me to my old and new demons that I had not thought of or wished to see again.
When I worked full-time, I put my 210% into it because I could. I did not have to face failed friendships, physical health problems, or mental. Teaching is tough, no doubt, but it's definitely easier than trying to figure out why some aspects of my life were not working out.
So here, I sit, finding that the root of any problem needs to be faced. Money only buries the issues. We can still see the patches of dirt hiding the wounds, and as more time goes on, I find that there are only more dirt patches dug up and redone hastily.
I go about my days doing what I need -- applying for jobs, working on my courses. I also set aside time to dig up those dirt patches to find out what I truly hold in my life as my values and boundaries.
_____
Money no longer is a problem. I work with others that can voice their ideas to come up with great products that we can sell. I am my own boss.
My friends and I support each other. We trust that no one speaks ill of another even as we are in different parts of the world. We raise each other up as life is already hard enough as it is.
I travel the world to see all the beaches and the wonders of the universe that are out of reach for the human mind on my own accord and pace. Slow and steady does allow us to smell the flowers.
I listen to happy music each day and dance to my heart's content. I attend concerts and shake it like I'm singing in my own room. I prefer Christmas tunes at the moment ("Like It's Christmas" from the Jonas Brothers and "You Make It Feel Like Christmas" by Gwen Stefani ft. Blake Shelton.) and find warmth from spending time with the loves in my life. I dance the night away with my lover as he lights up my insides and makes the world seem less tragic.
My credit and school debts are paid off. I own shares, stocks, rental properties, and businesses. I make a cozy home for my family and myself. Nothing excessive. Rooms filled with people and life.
I lecture and spread advice as much as I listen to others' experiences. I give people, that are homeless or with a disability, jobs so they can afford a life worth living.
I head to the beach every day to enjoy the sunshine, waves, and salty breeze.
